Job summary

UNESCO in Paris is seeking a Consultant for the Investigation Office to conduct preliminary evaluations, document findings, and draft reports under IOS supervision.

The role requires a Master’s degree in law or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ investigative experience in international settings. Strong English skills and good French are required; remote work within the same time zone may be available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in law, audit or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional investigations experience in international organizations or public/private sectors.
• Excellent English; good French language skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong report writing and interview skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary evaluation of allegations and determine applicable rules.
• Document and prepare draft reports with recommendations.
• Upon authorization, conduct full investigations and collaborate with other investigators.
• Prepare investigation work plans and present to IOS leadership.
