Job summary

CMA CGM's Technical Department in Marseille invites you to join as an end-of-studies internship or Master thesis project focused on LNG-powered vessels. You will work on modeling and tools that simulate tank thermodynamics and Boil-Off Gas management.

You will review literature, perform onboard observations, calibrate Python-based tools, collect data, and help deploy results into a ship–shore interface, contributing to safer, more efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Master's level in thermal sciences or related field with strong modeling interest.
• Solid knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and energetics.
• Experience with programming in Python; Fortran/C++ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Literature review on LNG behavior in tanks.
• Onboard missions to observe tank behavior under various conditions.
• Get to know Python-based operational tools.
• Define terms of reference for data acquisition and follow the data collection campaign.
• Calibrate and validate tools with real bunkering data.
• Deploy tools into the ship–shore interface and write the final report.
