Interpath in Paris is seeking an Intern to join its Distressed M&A buy-side team for a 6-month internship, advising companies in special situations on sale processes, partnerships and investor searches.

This role suits a Master’s student in the final stage of studies, with one or two prior internships, aiming to develop a career at the intersection of M&A, restructuring and transaction services within a fast-paced advisory environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial mindset with interest in investor-facing advisory.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of Distressed M&A buy-side mandates.
• Conduct financial analysis and company research.
• Prepare transaction materials, including marketing documents and financial analyses.
• Assist with investor identification and outreach.
• Support due diligence and transaction execution.
• Liaise with clients, investors, legal advisers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to live transactions across sectors.

Interpath is seeking an Intern to join its Distressed M&A buy-side team in Paris for a 6-month internship, advising companies in special situations on business sale processes, strategic partnerships and investor searches.

This role is suited to a Master’s student in the final stage of their studies, who has already completed one or two internships and is looking to develop a career at the intersection of M&A, restructuring and transaction services, within a fast-paced and collaborative advisory environment. There is the opportunity to move into a full-time role at the end of the internship.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Currently completing a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance, Finance or a related discipline, and available for a 6-month end-of-studies internship.
• One or two previous internships or apprenticeships in:
• M&A
• Restructuring
• Transaction Services
• Strong interest in M&A, restructuring and special situations.
• Commercial mindset with an interest in investor-facing advisory work.

Required Skills

• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Fluent French & English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly understand business models and commercial challenges.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
