Job summary

Natixis is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst intern for a 6-month internship in Paris. You will join the Energy Transition and Natural Resources team, co-originate and co-execute transactions across advisory, financing, and capital markets.

Responsibilities include preparing pitches, creating sector analyses, supporting transactions, and developing expertise in Energy Transition sectors. You will be mentored by experienced bankers and gain exposure to global clients.

Qualifications

Job Description

You are joining our Energy Transition and Natural Resources team, which is looking for six Investment Banking Analystsfor internships of 6 months : two to be provided in January 2027, two in July 2027, and one in September 2027.

You will be part of a team covering all key segments of the Energy Transition, including:

• Low-carbon energy (electricity and renewable energies, hydrogen, SAF, bioenergy);
• Critical metals and minerals;
• Energy security and decarbonization;
• Food, agriculture and natural capital.

The role of the team is to co-originate and co-execute transactions for Natixis clients across all banking solutions, including advisory (M&A, equity, debt), financing, capital markets and investment banking products.

In collaboration with your tutor, your main tasks will be:

• Preparation of commercial pitches in coordination with other CIB business lines;
• Production of ad hoc sectoral support (pitchbooks, mapping, benchmarking, etc.);
• Support to the team in carrying out transactions and outstanding mandates;
• Development of in-depth analytical expertise in the sectors of Energy Transition and Natural Resources;
• Conducting financial analyses of companies;
• Provision of sector information and analysis to the team, notably through daily newsletters.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• As a BAC +4/5 level student, you are preparing a degree (university, business school or engineering school), with a specialization in Finance.
• You have a strong interest in the sectors of the energy transition.
• You show great motivation, autonomy and initiative.
• You have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• You are proficient in financial statement analysis, credit analysis, accounting principles and valuation techniques.
• You have an excellent command of PowerPoint, Excel and Word tools.
• And last but not least, you are perfectly fluent in English.
