Natixis invites applications for an Internship - Assistant Forex Strategist F/H in Paris. You will join the Market Strategy team within Natixis CIB to decipher macroeconomic news, develop FX strategies, and publish analyses daily.

The role combines research with practical market consulting, offering exposure to global financial markets and a platform for skill development. As Bac+5 with econometrics, you will work under supervision, monitor currencies, support publications, and help build models

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bac+5 degree (university/business/engineering) with econometrics specialization.
• Strong knowledge of macroeconomics and international economics.
• Quantitative skills: statistics, econometrics, machine learning.
• Proficient with Python, VBA, and Excel.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, rigor, curiosity, initiative.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilités

• Monitor financial and macroeconomic news on the currencies of G10 countries and emerging markets.
• Actively participate in the writing of our daily and thematic publications.
• Help develop statistical models to optimize our exchange rate and emerging market strategies.
• Collaborate with tutor and the Market Strategy team to support research and publications.

Job Description

You join the Market Strategy team (in the trading room) as part of the Natixis CIB research team, which is looking for a Strategy Assistant for an internship of 6 months from November 2026.

The team’s mission is to decipher global macroeconomic news, develop investment strategies in the interest-rate, currency and equity markets, and publish daily benchmark analyses to guide our clients.

In collaboration with your tutor, your main tasks will be:

• Monitor financial and macroeconomic news on the currencies of G10 countries and emerging markets;


• Actively participate in the writing of our daily and thematic publications;


• Help develop statistical models to optimize our exchange rate and emerging market strategies;

As an Assistant. e Strategy, you are actively involved in the chain of competences combining fundamental research with consulting and market analysis, and contribute directly to our entity’s financial innovation process.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

As a Bac+5 student, you are preparing a degree (university, business school or engineering school), with a specialization in econometrics.

You have a strong knowledge of macroeconomics and international economics (including understanding the monetary system).

You have the required quantitative skills (statistics, econometrics, machine learning).

You are familiar with the essential computer tools (Python, VBA, Excel).

You have excellent writing and analytical skills.

You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen, and you demonstrate rigor, curiosity, as well as initiative.

And last but not least, you are perfectly fluent in English.
