Job summary

Santen is seeking an experienced International Head of Pricing to lead our global pricing strategy across EMEA, China, and Asia Pacific. This senior role drives pricing governance, frameworks, and risk management to maximize patient access while protecting portfolio value.

Travel up to 30% is required. You will guide international pricing governance, partner with senior stakeholders, and oversee a team of Pricing Managers worldwide within the International Market Access, Pricing & Public Affairs

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare pricing, market access, and reimbursement.
• Strong international exposure across multiple countries or regions.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing pricing strategies within complex healthcare environments.

• Establish pricing frameworks, target prices, floor prices, and governance processes for pipeline, launch, and in-market products.
• Lead pricing risk assessment and mitigation related to international reference pricing, price erosion, and parallel trade.
• Support strategic business decisions through pricing analytics, forecasting, scenario modeling, and competitive insights.
• Provide pricing leadership for new product launches, lifecycle management, negotiations, and tenders.
• Partner with Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and regional teams.
• Drive pricing governance, data integrity, systems, and processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop an international team covering EMEA, China, and Asia.
• Represent Pricing within senior governance forums and influence investment and portfolio decisions.

This is a high-impact leadership role that will influence critical business decisions, maximize sustainable patient access, and protect the long-term value of our portfolio across international markets.

As a member of the International Market Access, Pricing & Public Affairs Leadership Team, you will partner with senior stakeholders across the organization, guide international pricing governance, and lead a team of Pricing Managers responsible for key regions worldwide. Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of the time is required.

• Provide pricing leadership for new product launches, lifecycle management activities, reimbursement negotiations, and tender opportunities.
• Partner closely with Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and regional teams.
• Drive excellence in pricing governance, data integrity, systems, and operational processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop an international team covering EMEA, China, and Asia.
• Represent Pricing within senior governance forums and influence key investment and portfolio decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare pricing, market access, and reimbursement.
• Strong international exposure with demonstrated success across multiple countries or regions.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing pricing strategies within complex healthcare environments.
• Solid experience managing pricing governance, target price setting, and international reference pricing risks.
• Leadership experience with direct people management in a matrix organization.
• Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and leading complex strategic discussions.
• Experience supporting product launches and lifecycle management initiatives in a global environment.

Education

• Master's degree in Business, Economics, Health Economics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is considered an advantage.

Languages

• Fluent English is required.
• Additional European or Asian languages are a plus.
• Pharmaceutical pricing and market access frameworks.
