Job summary

SPX FLOW, now ITT Flow Technologies, is seeking an Applications Engineer to join the EMEA Applications Engineering team. You will support the APV hygienic pumps and valves portfolio, handling inquiries, sizing, and quotations for customers and sales teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Role requires strong technical knowledge of hygienic fluid handling, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced international environment. Travel across the EMEA region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years in applications engineering, technical sales support, process engineering, or similar role.
• Experience with hygienic processing equipment preferred.
• Experience in technical quotation preparation and customer support.
• Fluent English and French required (written and spoken).

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Applications Engineer to join our EMEA Applications Engineering team supporting the APV portfolio of hygienic pumps and valves.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical inquiries, sizing and selection activities, quotation support, and engineering recommendations for customers, sales teams, distributors, and key accounts across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The role requires strong technical knowledge of hygienic fluid handling equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.

This position plays a critical role in supporting business growth by delivering timely, accurate, and technically sound solutions for customers in the dairy, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Application Support

• Evaluate customer requirements and provide technical recommendations for APV pumps, valves, and related hygienic process equipment.
• Perform product sizing and selection based on process conditions and application requirements.
• Review customer specifications, P&IDs, process descriptions, and technical documentation.
• Provide troubleshooting support for product performance, installation, and operational issues.
• Support complex technical projects and act as a technical interface between customers, sales teams, product management, and engineering teams.

Quotation Management

• Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations for APV pumps, valves, spare parts, and engineered solutions.
• Ensure quotations comply with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturing sites, product specialists, and supply chain teams to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical information.
• Track and manage quotation requests to ensure agreed response times are achieved.
• Support opportunity follow-up activities with sales teams and key account managers.

Customer & Sales Support

• Participate in technical meetings, customer calls, and project reviews.
• Deliver product presentations and technical training sessions.
• Support strategic key accounts with application expertise and technical consultation.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve quotation processes, technical workflows, and customer responsiveness.
• Maintain accurate product knowledge and stay up to date with portfolio developments.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, sizing tools, application guides, and knowledge databases.
• Share best practices across the Applications Engineering team.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Equivalent industry experience may be considered.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, process engineering, or similar technical customer-facing role.
• Experience with hygienic processing equipment is preferred.
• Experience in technical quotation preparation and customer support.

Technical Skills

• Application sizing and selection experience.
• Understanding of hygienic process requirements and industry standards.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Annual base salary: 42,000 to 52,000euros DoE + Benefits
