Mistral seeks a Director of Internal Control to build the function from the ground up within the Finance team. You will design a COSO-aligned framework, embed controls across procurement, payroll, and subsidiary oversight, and partner with Legal, CISO, and business units to safeguard growth.

Reporting to the SVP Finance, you will drive risk management, automate controls, coordinate external audits, and lead a high-impact team, fostering accountability and strategic agility across global entities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in internal control or audit, building a function from scratch or scaling a team.
• Strong knowledge of COSO frameworks and control design.
• Ability to translate complex risks into actionable solutions for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design and deploy a risk-based internal control system covering financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Embed controls into workflows (procurement, payroll, consolidation) with cross-functional partners.
• Automate and optimize controls using ERP and AI/ML tools for real-time monitoring.
• Collaborate with Legal and CISO to build a company-wide risk matrix and remediation plans.
• Coordinate external audits and prepare for regulatory reviews and investor due diligence.
• Build and manage a high-impact internal control team and governance culture.
• Maintain documentation and elevate gaps to leadership after testing.
