Job summary

Aldebaran Group is seeking a Site Subcontract Manager to join an industrial construction project unit in Marseille. You will oversee the contractual and commercial management of construction subcontracts through completion, including progress measurement, cost control, and change management.

The role requires strong collaboration with multiple subcontractors and stakeholders on site. Ideal candidates will have proven EPC experience on complex industrial projects, with expertise in mechanical

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the contractual and commercial management of construction subcontracts on industrial projects.
• Experience in an EPC environment, ideally on complex industrial projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors involved in mechanical works, piping, steel structures, equipment installation, electrical works, and instrumentation.
• Strong experience in progress measurement, quantity tracking, payment applications, cost control, and extra work orders.
• Experience in claims management, contractual follow-up, and subcontract closeout.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the contractual and commercial aspects of construction subcontracts, including piping installation, steel structure erection, equipment installation, piping and equipment insulation, painting, electrical works, and instrumentation.
• Implement and enforce the established site subcontract management procedures.
• Anticipate, assess, and manage contractual claims to mitigate risks and additional costs.
• Maintain and file contractual correspondence and organize weekly meetings with each subcontractor.
• Evaluate, monitor, and register scope changes and extra work orders issued on site.
• Measure and monitor weekly work progress, then review and approve subcontractors' monthly progress payments.
• Monitor and report costs related to site activities.
• Track executed quantities and ensure the reliability of progress measurement data.
• Manage subcontract closeout, including verification of actual executed quantities and as-built quantities.
• Participate in tendering, bid evaluation, and award of construction packages that have not yet been contracted.
