DeepL is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Hybrid Platform Engineering track that underpins our AI products and research. You will design, build and operate production‑grade Kubernetes clusters across AWS and on‑prem infrastructure, taking workloads from design to long‑term operation.

You will own reliability and cost, drive platform architecture, mentor engineers, and advance IaC and GitOps with ArgoCD, while collaborating with teams across the globe in a fast‑moving, impact‑driven

Qualifications

• Deep, hands‑on Kubernetes expertise across full lifecycle.
• Experience with both public cloud and on‑prem infrastructure; AWS experience preferred.
• Strong networking and Linux depth with debugging across containers to host edge.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform; GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
• Software engineering skills in Go or Python for building tooling used by engineers.
• Track record of technical ownership spanning multiple teams.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of reliability, capacity and cost efficiency of the compute infrastructure across AWS and on‑prem.
• Shape platform architecture with evidence‑based decisions.
• Design, build and operate production‑grade Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on‑prem.

• Define infrastructure‑as‑code standards and strengthen observability and security.
