Technip Energies is seeking a LEAD HSE DESIGN ENGINEER in the Chemical Process Engineering Department based in Nanterre, near Paris. You will report to the Process Safety Department Manager and lead a team of HSE Design engineers on EPC/oil & gas projects, coordinating interfaces with Clients and Partners.

You will identify risks, drive safety studies and HAZID/HAZOP reviews, and develop robust safety concepts while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with chemical/process/safety background required.
• 15+ years of HSED experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, energy transition, mining or pharma.
• Strong knowledge of International Codes & Standards (NFPA, API, EN/ISO).
• Experience leading a team and delivering within budget/schedule.
• Fluent English; willingness to travel abroad.

• Identify, analyze and quantify HSE risks for projects.
• Recommend measures to reduce risk to an acceptable level.
• Design and implement prevention, control, mitigation, and protection measures.
• Provide safe design protecting personnel, environment and assets.
• Lead the HSED team, manage deliverables and project constraints.
