Airswift is seeking an Experienced Fire Safety Engineer to join a multidisciplinary HSE Design team supporting complex Hydrogen projects. You will work with Process, Piping, Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation to ensure safe, compliant facility designs and to identify hazards, develop safety strategies, and implement measures across the design lifecycle.

The role requires leading safety deliverables, supervising engineering teams, and contributing to safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Safety, Process or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Safety Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refining or Energy Transition industries.
• Strong knowledge of Hazardous Area Classification, Fire & Gas Detection Systems, Active Fire Protection Systems, Passive Fire Protection, Personnel Protection, Escape, Evacuation and Rescue, Experience participating in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and LOPA studies.
• Experience working on large-scale EPC projects.
• Exposure to LNG, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Ammonia, Renewables or Energy Transition developments.
• Experience leading safety deliverables and supervising engineering teams.

• Develop and implement prevention, control, mitigation and protection measures.
• Perform Preliminary Risk Assessments and Safety Studies.
• Participate in safety reviews
• Conduct Plot Plan and 3D Model reviews.
• Identify Safety Critical Elements and determine criticality ratings.
• Assess and specify Cold Spill Protection requirements.
• Design and review Active Fire Protection systems, including: Firewater pump stations, Firewater distribution networks, Deluge systems, Hydraulic calculations and network balancing
• Develop Fire & Gas Detection philosophies and layouts, including: Flammable gas detection, Toxic gas detection, Fire detection systems

Work closely with Process, Piping, Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines to ensure safe, compliant and efficient facility designs.

The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying hazards, developing safety strategies, and implementing prevention, mitigation and protection measures to safeguard personnel, the environment and assets throughout the design lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
