Job summary

Scaleway seeks an experienced Presales Solutions Engineer – HPC to be the technical owner for customer projects, from initial discussions to onboarding and support. You will design HPC solutions, demonstrate workloads, and ensure smooth deployment across industries such as automotive, energy, aerospace and space.

The role blends hands-on experimentation with customer engagement, requiring strong English and a proactive, autonomous mindset within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in HPC, numerical simulation, computational engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of HPC environments with Linux/Bash, Docker and MPI.
• Experience with Slurm or Lustre for scheduling/storage.
• Experience with Python and cloud storage technologies such as S3.
• Knowledge of multiphysics or numerical simulation domains (CFD/FEA etc.).
• Experience with PoCs, customer projects, presales or technical consulting is a plus.
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers' HPC needs and design suitable HPC solutions.
• Lead and support technical Proofs of Concept from requirements to deployment.
• Demonstrate HPC and Cloud solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
• Design computing environments aligned with workloads and simulation requirements.
• Act as technical owner during onboarding and provide ongoing support.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Engineers and DevOps to move projects forward.
• Work hands-on with Linux, Docker, MPI, Python SDKs, S3, Slurm, Lustre.
• Assist customers in migrating and running multiphysics workloads on Scaleway.
