Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to support a major, long-term power generation programme across France. The role covers HSE operations, incident management and safety training at multiple plant sites, with extensive nationwide travel.

Start January 2027, freelance basis, near Lyon. Ideal candidates will have strong HSE leadership in power generation, nuclear/CCGT/thermal project experience, knowledge of French HSE regulations, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Strong HSE management background within power generation.
• Experience on nuclear, CCGT, thermal or other power plant projects.
• Knowledge of French HSE regulations and site safety compliance.
• Experience in incident investigations, risk assessments and delivering HSE training.
• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel extensively between sites throughout France.

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced HSE Manager to support a major, long-term power generation programme across France.

This is an opportunity to work across multiple power plant sites, supporting HSE operations, incident management and safety training.

• Location: Multiple power plant sites across France – extensive nationwide travel required
• Initial Location: Near Lyon, France
• Start Date: January 2027
• Contract: Freelance
