Harmattan AI is seeking a senior Validation Laboratory Module Lead to build and run an in-house environmental test laboratory in the Paris area. You will define capabilities, select and procure equipment, and recruit a small team to execute tests critical to our autonomous defense systems.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in environmental testing.
• Experience setting up or substantially developing a test lab.
• Strong command of environmental test methods and the equipment behind them.
• Proven equipment judgement: specify, evaluate and procure test machines.
• Experience leading a small technical team.
• Rigorous, methodical approach to test planning, acceptance criteria and documentation.
• Comfortable working across engineering, validation and quality; translate between them.
• Engineering degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Bonus: defence or aerospace test standards MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160 or ISO/IEC 17025; drones/ robotics background.

Responsabilités

• Define the lab capabilities and select equipment, including climatic and thermal cycling, UV ageing, and climate room.
• Decide what is internalised vs external and manage build-versus-buy decisions.
• Set up the facility from premises to installation, safety, and commissioning.
• Build and lead a team of two to three lab technicians.
• Support validation teams with lab validation, review test plans, and hand over procedures to QA.
