OPPORTUNITIES

PRINCIPIA is currently searching for a talented Head of Department (Engineering Subsea, Riser or Cable) to support the Offshore Business Unit (La Ciotat, Nantes, Lorient) for Marine Renewable and Oil & Gas activities. The Engineer will have an opportunity to work on particularly complex design challenges using PRINCIPIA’s internal suite of analysis tools to develop solutions that meet the needs of our range of national and international clients. This is a permanent contract position.

Responsibilities

The Head of department has a crucial position within our organization. She/He will report directly to the Head of the business offshore unit. Her/His responsibilities will be to:

• Manage a team of 10-15 engineers (day to day management, appraisals)
• Supervise and co-ordinate engineers and draughts men
• Project Management: delivery, cost, operational schedule, reporting
• Participate to the business development (preparation of technical and commercial offers)
• Manage the Workload & Planning of the resources for all the subsea projects
• Participate to the recruitment (external or staff)
• Follow up the state of the art of the subsea activities (Riser, cable)
• Ensure Interface with the Client
• Technical support to the projects
• Participate to Events

• Independent design verification analysis

• Expertise in hydrodynamic analysis, structural analysis, detailed fabrication, drawings
• Expertise and analysis for all design life steps, including in-place, fatigue, temporary cases, accidental cases…

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Naval architecture, Ocean, Mechanical or Marine)
