Job summary

AXA Partners seeks a Senior Data Leader to steer a distributed data team across Europe, delivering robust data platforms and governance. You will translate business strategy into technical roadmaps, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.

With 8+ years in data, you’ll own Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Power BI initiatives, balance cost with performance (FinOps), and collaborate with Global Product Owners and Central Data Office to drive value for AXA and its partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering preferred.
• About 8 years of experience in the data field.
• Experience leading technical teams across multiple cultures.
• Expert-level Azure data stack knowledge (Databricks, PySpark, SQL).
• Strong Power BI knowledge and BI design experience.
• Solid data warehousing, Kimball/star schema understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed data team across Spain, France and UK.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Define technical roadmap and FinOps practices.
• Organise code reviews and enforce development standards.
• Collaborate with GPO, Data Domain Owners and Central Data Office.
