Job summary

AXA Partners is seeking a Head of Data Solution to lead a multi-national team of Data Engineers and Analysts across France, Spain and the UK. You will own the delivery of robust data solutions, shaping the analytics roadmap, and ensuring quality, security, and governance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• About 8 years of experience in the data field.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams (Chapter Lead/Tech Lead/Data Manager) across distributed, multi-cultural teams.
• Cloud & Big Data Expertise: Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL.
• Business Intelligence: Power BI architecture, performance optimization, design best practices.
• Data Architecture: Data warehousing, Kimball, star schema.
• Software Engineering Mindset: Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing.
• Strategic Partnership & Influence: collaborate with GPO, Data Domain Owners, Central Data Office.
• Business Acumen & Pragmatism: balance technical excellence with business value.
• FinOps: cloud cost ownership and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Steer and develop a distributed team across Spain, France, and UK.
• Lead day-to-day operations of the Data Solution team.
• Build capabilities in Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Define and enforce development best practices (Git, docs, standards).
• Organize regular code reviews for quality and maintainability.
• Own and optimize cloud cost footprint (FinOps) and reporting.
• Ensure governance, security, and compliance as defined by Data Domain Owners.
