Job summary

Mistral is building France's AI infrastructure and seeks Data Center Hardware Engineers to keep GPU/CPU racks healthy and available on site. You will work hands-on in a data centre environment, diagnosing and repairing hardware, cables, interconnects and power systems.

You’ll document work, manage parts and RMAs, and contribute to automation using Python/Bash where possible. A safety mindset, ability to work in a 24/7 rotating on-call schedule, and a clean, methodical approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data centre hardware.
• Basic Linux checks and logs; scripting is a plus.
• Electrical safety basics and PPE knowledge.
• Ability to work in racks; lifting and mounting where needed.
• Reliability for 24/7 operation and on-call rotation.
• Driver's license (B) for inter-site travel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & repair server hardware, CPUs, memory, drives, NICs, GPUs, PSUs and interconnects.
• Intervene safely with power-off, lockout and ESD discipline.
• Capture data: photos, serials, tests; update tickets and hand off clearly.
• Manage parts: receive, label, track inventory; run RMAs with vendors.
• Contribute to monitoring/SOP improvements; write small scripts if possible.
• Be a good teammate with status updates and clear handovers.
