Job summary

Mistral seeks a Senior Data Center Hardware Engineer to own high‑level hardware interventions across Paris region data centers. You will lead multi‑node deployments, coordinate with vendors, and drive root‑cause analysis for reliability as compute scale grows.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop SOPs, and help build automation in Python/Bash to shorten MTTR. Occasional site visits apply across the EMEA footprint.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data center/server hardware in production environments.
• End-to-end hardware expertise across CPU/memory/PCIe, NICs, PSUs, drives.
• Diagnostics with BMC/IPMI logs and Linux logs; strong root-cause analysis.
• Experience deploying racks from delivery to production.
• Vendor management with RMAs, escalations, and SLA adherence.
• Safety-first with ESD/LOTO/PPE; auditable change discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex interventions in production including full rack build-ups.
• Own vendor management and drive proactive fixes with SLAs.
• Diagnose interdependent hardware issues across compute/storage/interconnect.
• Deploy and validate new racks and platforms to production readiness.
• Mentor L1-L3 engineers and develop SOPs and training materials.
• Collaborate with facilities for power, cooling, and monitoring boundaries.
