Latitude is offering an internship in the Electronic and Software Systems department, within the GNC team, focusing on verification and validation of a flight simulator. The role includes improving perturbation models, standalone model pipelines, and validating results against reference models, with hands-on Matlab/Simulink learning.

You will learn multidisciplinary optimization, systems modelling, command and control, and state-space modelling while contributing to the GNC flight simulator

Qualifications

• Pursuing a master’s degree in aerospace engineering.
• Strong foundations in physics and algorithms.
• Interest in flight control systems and GNC.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to verification and validation of a flight simulator.
• Support dimensioning studies of GNC components (sensors, actuators, computer).
• Assist design studies of flight control algorithms and piloting strategies.

Description du poste

As part of the Electronic and Software Systems department of the company, you will be part of the GNC team which missions are:

Guarantee the performance of the system by technically defining it, specifying the materials to be supplied and the tests to be conducted,

Carry out dimensioning studies of the components of the flight GNC chain (sensors, actuators, computer),

Carry out design studies of flight control algorithms (analysis of piloting strategies, verification of the feasibility of a mission with respect to this strategy, algorithmic design),

Tasks & missions

Internship subject: ” Verification & Validation of a flight simulator”

Mission includes:

• Improvement of internal and external perturbation models;
• Standalone models with automatic pipeline validation;
• Comparison of results with reference models from Latitude;
• Validation and qualification on the GNC flight simulator

The intern will learn :

• Matlab Simulink usage for GNC launcher’s development
• Multi-disciplinary optimization,
• Systems modelling,
• Command and control,
• State-space modelling.

Education: preparation of master’s degree in aerospace engineering
