Job summary

Canonical is expanding its in-house legal team and seeking exceptional lawyers to join as Legal Counsel at various levels. You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with customers and vendors worldwide, while providing strategic legal support to Canonical’s sales and product teams.

You will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and external counsel across Europe and the Americas, ensuring legal and business objectives are aligned.

Qualifications

• Prestigious law degree and active licence to practise law.
• Strong academic track record in law and practical experience in commercial transactions.
• Ability to work across borders with diverse internal clients and external counsel.
• Excellent written and spoken English with clear drafting and presentation skills.
• Comfort with fast-paced, multi-cultural environments and technology-focused businesses.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with global customers and vendors.
• Provide legal advice to internal clients including sales and product teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives.
• Utilise contract management systems to maintain accurate contract data.
• Collaborate with local counsel across multiple jurisdictions to implement guidance.
