Manitou Group is seeking a Treasurer & Tax Manager to oversee day-to-day tax activities across North America, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, and to manage cash flow and investments. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead tax planning, research, and interaction with outside advisors.

The role requires at least five years of public accounting and industry tax experience, with a background in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• At least five years of public accounting and industry tax experience, including federal, multi-state and international taxes.
• Experience in a manufacturing organization or with manufacturing clients.
• Experience with US GAAP to IFRS conversions and dual-reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, develop and execute corporate tax strategies and policies consistent with corporate operational goals.
• Review proposed transactions and advise changes to achieve the best tax result.
• Coordinate and manage tax return preparation, documentation, and payment process (Federal, State, Canadian GST/PST).
• Promote tax consciousness and awareness throughout the company by coordinating with operating management.
• Assist with tax research and use of outside advisors; brief top management on tax implications.
