Job summary

GSK is seeking a Director, Global Real-World Evidence & Health Outcomes Scientist, Oncology, to lead studies generating real-world evidence for launch optimization, reimbursement and market access. The role spans asset teams and cross-functional collaboration across medical, market access, and R&D to ensure high-quality, credible evidence for payers and providers.

The role emphasizes innovative study concepts, data resource governance, and engaging external experts, with a strong focus on HTA

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a multinational.
• Experience in Oncology or Hematology.
• Experience planning and delivering projects, managing budgets, and working in a matrix.
• Ability to use evidence for HTA submissions, reimbursement and medical engagements.
• Proven track record delivering payer evidence and engaging external experts.
• Knowledge of global health economics, HTA agencies, and reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute multiple studies for a given asset with timelines and budget.
• Assure quality of deliverables, including study reports, abstracts and manuscripts per SOPs.
• Identify resources and analyses to inform scientific design and advise internal/external experts.
• Translate needs for evidence into study concepts aligned with asset strategy and value.
• Develop knowledge of real-world data sources and partnerships; act as point person.
• Understand customers’ needs, including HTA requirements and evidence impact on decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and share best practices across non-interventional studies.
• Build relationships across medical, market access, R&D and commercial for alignment.
• Keep stakeholders updated through periodic reporting.

Education

MSc in health outcomes/epidemiology/pharmacy

Advanced degree preferred (PhD/PharmD)
