SELECTED RECRUITMENT is supporting an international, technology-led organisation by appointing an Engineering Director to lead strategy, delivery and evolution of shared digital platforms. This senior role reports to C-Level and oversees a large, distributed engineering organisation.

You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security and Data leaders to build secure, scalable capabilities for multiple digital products and markets, driving platform-first and API-first approaches, setting

Qualifications

12+ years of software-engineering experience.
5+ years leading multiple engineering teams and Engineering Managers.
Experience building and operating large-scale, enterprise-grade platforms.
Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, APIs, microservices and event-driven architecture.
Exposure to fintech or high-volume environments is a plus.
Proven ability to lead international teams in a complex matrix organisation.
Strong people leadership and executive stakeholder-management skills.

Responsabilités

Define and deliver the engineering strategy and technology investment roadmap.
Lead, coach and develop Engineering Managers and distributed teams.
Own engineering quality, scalability, reliability, security and operational performance.
Drive platform-first and API-first approaches across multiple domains.
Improve delivery, cost efficiency and engineering effectiveness with KPIs and OKRs.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into engineering outcomes.
Build a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
