Mistral.ai is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the Accounting function, ensuring IFRS-compliant financial reporting across the group. You will oversee close processes, liaise with auditors (Big 4), and drive strong internal controls in a high-growth AI startup environment.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, IFRS expertise, and SAP S4/HANA proficiency, with English fluency and a bias for accuracy. Paris-based, on-site with potential for future relocation support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience including Big 4 audits.
• Strong IFRS knowledge with focus on consolidation and reporting.
• Experience in tech start-ups/scale-ups is a plus.
• Proficient in SAP S4/HANA and advanced Excel for analyses.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Conduct detailed reviews of journal entries, accruals, intercompany, and provisions for IFRS and French GAAP compliance.
• Partner with Accounting Ops Lead to ensure a robust close process.
• Implement and enforce financial control frameworks and reconciliation processes.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors (Big 4) during statutory audits.
• Prepare audit-ready financial statements for all group entities (consolidated and statutory).
• Collaborate with Tax to ensure VAT, corporate tax, and payroll tax compliance.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analyses, and flux analyses.
• Support design and monitoring of key controls to prevent misstatements.
