Job summary

Partner company in France seeks an experienced Accountant to support a global group of entities. You will own Accounts Payable, manage monthly closes, intercompany activity, and VAT compliance while coordinating with external firms across jurisdictions.

The role offers autonomy and exposure to a cryptocurrency-focused finance environment. Ideal candidates bring strong general ledger and AP experience, multi-entity know-how, and excellent English communication skills; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Approximately 5 years of accounting experience; Big Four background is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, closing, reconciliations, accruals, and full accounting cycle.
• Experience with multi-entity organizations, intercompany accounting, and group consolidation is preferable.
• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience with invoicing and approvals.
• VAT and corporate tax knowledge; cross-border VAT is a plus.
• Audits preparation, documentation, and auditor responses experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software; familiarity with Xero and ApprovalMax is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, international team.
• Excellent English communication; French language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable management: end-to-end supplier payments, invoice review, coding, approvals, and reconciliations.
• General ledger accounting: journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Financial closing: coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close with external firms.
• Reconciliations and account analysis: balance sheet and bank reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Intercompany accounting: monthly reconciliations, recharges, settlements across entities.
• Tax and VAT compliance: VAT returns and cross-border considerations with advisors.
• Audit preparation: assemble documentation and respond to auditor requests.
• Internal controls and process improvement: strengthen controls and workflows.
• Cross-functional accounting support: balance routine processing with complex tasks.
• International collaboration: work with external providers across jurisdictions.
