Job summary

Lesaffre in France is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Solution Engineering squads (Data, Software, Web). The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management to grow engineers, shape team structure, and align talent with the Group's priorities.

The candidate will drive agentic engineering practices, establish best practices, and own the hiring process end-to-end, with a focus on secure, maintainable delivery in a global, AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

10+ years in software, cloud, or data engineering leadership with hands-on credibility.
Proven experience in people management, hiring, and team growth.
Fluent in English and French, with strong communication across global teams.

Responsibilities

Grow the engineers: mentor, develop career paths, and implement fair performance processes.
Staffing & allocation: balance delivery commitments with individual growth across product squads.
Culture builder: foster a One Team mentality focused on craftsmanship and automation.
Own the technical hiring process end-to-end with HR and interview loops.
Define engineering standards, best practices, testing, CI/CD, observability and documentation.
Lead adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows to boost quality and velocity.
Define governance for AI use, maintain security, IP protection and data confidentiality.
