Drama Studios in Rennes is seeking a gameplay programmer with strong Unreal Engine skills to implement engaging gameplay features using C++ and Blueprints.

You will work from design documents, iterate through playtests, and maintain clear, testable code in a small, autonomous team. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in gameplay programming for Unreal Engine using C++ and Blueprints.
• Solid grasp of the UE gameplay framework: actors, components, GameMode, replication basics.
• Strong sense of character, camera, controls (3C) and overall game feel.
• Ability to write clear, testable, maintainable code in a small team where autonomy matters.

• Professional experience in gameplay programming on Unreal Engine (C++ and Blueprints)
• Solid grasp of the UE gameplay framework: actors, components, GameMode, replication basics
• Strong 3C sensitivity (character, camera, controls) and care for game feel
• Ability to write clear, testable, maintainable code in a small team where autonomy matters
• Comfortable working from design documents and iterating through playtests
• Fluent or professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Nice to have

• A shipped title or a substantial personal UE5 project
• Experience on a first person or action game
• Interest in improving tools, workflows and team practices
