Corning Incorporated seeks a Fusion Engineer (M/F/D) at Fontainebleau-Avon to develop and optimize glass melting processes within the Process Research, Development & Engineering organization. The role interfaces with R&D and manufacturing to transform concepts into scalable industrial processes.

You will lead trials, analyze results, and ensure safety and data traceability while collaborating across cross-functional teams in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical and hands-on skills at interface of R&D and Manufacturing.
• Experience with thermal processes, glass melting, or high-temperature materials is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Define, prepare, and lead process trials on development production lines.
• Develop and optimize melting process parameters aligned with objectives and feasibility.
• Analyze trial results and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as technical interface between Research, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Process Engineering and Equipment teams.
• Contribute to evaluating new glass compositions and melting concepts.
• Document learnings and support technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Ensure rigor in testing activities, data traceability, and safety compliance.
