Corning is seeking a Fusion Engineer (M/F/D) for a permanent position at the Fontainebleau site, to bridge Research and Manufacturing in glass melting processes.

Lead development trials, optimize melting parameters, analyze results, and support technology transfer to production while ensuring safety and data traceability. Fluent English and a hands-on, team‑oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer in Process Engineering or related field.
• Initial industrial or development experience preferred.
• Experience with thermal processes or glass melting is a plus.
• Fluent English is essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead process trials on development production lines.
• Develop and optimize melting process parameters.
• Analyze trial results and implement corrective actions.
• Interface between Research, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Process Engineering, and Equipment teams.
• Contribute to evaluation of new glass compositions and melting concepts.
• Document learnings and support technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Ensure testing rigor, data traceability, and safety compliance.
