Alice & Bob in Paris is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer Intern to help design, implement, and ship features on the ABDB platform. You will bridge frontend, backend, and data layers, translating research needs into production-ready capabilities across UI, API, and Python client.

You will work under the Frontier Team Manager, collaborating with chip design and hardware teams to enable AI agents and automated testing, while advancing data ingestion, integration paths, and platform

Qualificações

• Final-year Master’s degree or engineering school (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in English.
• Experience in full-stack or backend development (internships allowed).
• Solid programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with a backend web framework and/or a frontend framework.
• Good understanding of relational databases, SQL and data modeling.
• Working knowledge of Git, code review practices and automated testing.
• Interest in LLM tooling (MCP, agents, evaluation harnesses) and in AI-assisted development.
• Interest in scientific or R&D data and in understanding users’ needs.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate clearly and ask for help early.
• Rigor and attention to reliability when working on a platform used daily by many teams.
• Nice to have: experience with FastAPI and React; French is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver features on the ABDB platform end-to-end across the stack (UI/UX, REST API and Python client).
• Translate user requests from research teams into specified, tested, documented features.
• Participate in release preparation and user communication.
• Extend ABDB’s programmatic and agentic access with MCP tools and validations.
• Evolve the Python client to align with researcher and agent needs.
• Modernize data ingestion and API-based uploads; maintain integrations with Starboard, catographer, anb-exp, and pipelines.
• Contribute to platform performance, observability and CI; enable AI coding agents in the workflow.
• Support Frontier interfaces and participate in code reviews and documentation.
