Job summary

Alice & Bob in Paris is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to own the architecture and evolution of the software infrastructure for quantum processing. You will design foundations for error-correction frameworks, quantum compilation stack, data flows, storage systems, orchestration layers, and automation pipelines to deploy production-grade QPU software in HPC, on-prem, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

12+ years building large-scale, high-reliability systems or scientific platforms.
Experience architecting complex infrastructure and data-heavy distributed systems.
Proficiency in Python and async frameworks for service design and orchestration.
Deep expertise with SQL, NoSQL, timeseries and object storage technologies.
Leadership ability to influence across hardware, data and platform teams.

Responsibilities

Define and lead the architecture of the Quantum Infra layer between control software and user-facing services.
Partner with hardware & control SW teams to integrate calibration, stabilization and error-correction cycles.
Design software backbone for real-time feedback between hardware, error correction, and automation.
Architect data and service layers to support quantum error-correction frameworks and tracking.
Define the long-term quantum circuit compilation stack for framework integration and upgradability.
Act as technical authority for quantum infra and scalable data systems.
Mentor senior engineers and align technical direction across teams.
Drive architectural strategy, roadmaps and cross-organizational alignment.
