Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a talented Legal Counsel with a strong French employment law background to join our Employment Legal team in Paris. You will advise on all French employment issues and support global employment initiatives, collaborating with the People Team and stakeholders worldwide.

You will handle consultations, dismissals, restructurings, and HR investigations, with a consultative and commercial approach to mitigate risk and shape scalable processes, including AI tools, across EMEA

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in France with strong employment law expertise.
• Fluent in French and English, able to explain complex issues to non-French leadership.
• Experience advising on conseil, litigation, and HR matters for a multinational business.

Responsibilities

• Advise on full spectrum of French employment law for our France business and global initiatives.
• Lead works council consultations, restructurings, and settlements with a commercial focus on risk.
• Support HR audits, performance management, and D&I efforts while monitoring regulatory updates across EMEA.
