Obsidian is assembling a team of native French speakers to evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks in French (France). You will listen as a devoted audiobook fan, but with a careful, analytic ear to flag moments where narration slips so the models can be improved.

This is remote, part-time work at roughly 20 hours per week. You can be based anywhere, though we prefer candidates in regions where French is natively spoken.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native French (France) speaker with a genuine audiobook listener.
• Some working English to report clearly and communicate with the team.
• Experience with annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, or linguistics.
• Sharp, patient ear and discipline to stay accurate over long listening sessions.

Responsabilités

• Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks in French and assess naturalness, accuracy, and enjoyment.
• Spot and log errors in synthesized speech and categorize issues.
• Mark exact spans where issues occur using review tooling.
• Report on overall listener satisfaction and natural vs. awkward narration.
• Work consistently across many hours with careful attention to detail.
