Job summary

CMA CGM invites applications for an end-of-studies Data Scientist Intern position at its head office in Marseille. The role focuses on building a freight rate forecasting model within the Data Science team and industrializing it to support pricing strategies.

Ideal candidates are Bac+5 in data science or data analysis, with strong time series, SQL and Python skills, and familiarity with Dataiku/Snowflake/GCP. Duration is 6 months starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Bac+5 student in data science / data analysis, ideally in final year.
• Strong command of time series forecasting models.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Dataiku, Snowflake or GCP is a plus.
• Fluent English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scope the project with business teams and collect relevant data.
• Design and implement a forecasting model and evaluation framework.
• Prototype deployable code and prepare a deployment roadmap.
• Support pricing strategies with model insights and business adoption plans.
• Assist in ad hoc data analyses and ongoing projects in the department.
