Alvarez & Marsal in Paris seeks a Head of Doctrine, a senior tax professional to build the doctrinal framework in France and support high‑value engagements. You will establish technical foundations to reinforce market credibility and position A&M Tax as a leading reference in complex matters.

Working with partners, directors, lawyers and specialists, you will lead the internal Doctrine Committee, produce analyses, publications and strategic advice for tax controversy and litigation readiness.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in French tax law and major tax advisory environments.
• Proven ability to produce high-level technical analyses and formalised doctrinal positions.
• Strong leadership and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Define and structure the firm’s doctrinal framework with technical rigor.
• Develop and formalize positions on complex tax issues.
• Monitor tax legislation and assess implications for clients and firm.
• Support implementation of new tax legislation through notes and guidance.
• Produce high-level analyses to improve quality and efficiency.
• Contribute to thought leadership and publications.
• Provide strategic support on tax controversy and litigation readiness.
• Lead the internal Doctrine Committee with senior tax lawyers.
