Job summary

Altea Energy is seeking an experienced FPSO Telecom Lead to coordinate all Telecommunications engineering activities during detailed engineering and procurement for a major FPSO project. The role covers design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of telecom systems across the process plant, accommodations, and airstrip, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in Telecommunications Engineering within Oil & Gas.
• FPSO project experience is mandatory.
• Experience in detailed engineering, vendor package management, EPC project execution.
• Offshore telecommunications systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Telecommunications engineering activities through the detailed engineering phase.
• Coordinate EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendor engineering activities.
• Ensure telecommunications systems comply with Company specifications, regulations, and international standards.
• Promote proven technologies and best practices for reliability and safety.
• Ensure engineering activities are delivered within project schedule and budget.
• Review engineering deliverables (telecom equipment specs, datasheets, MTOs, etc.).
• Manage contractor performance and monitor progress; participate in FATs and vendor reviews.
• Support construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities; contribute to punch list clearance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports; coordinate with various engineering interfaces.
