Airswift is seeking a FPSO Static Engineer for an on-site, Paris-based assignment. You will support static engineering across a major offshore FPSO development, covering detailed design, construction, and package follow-up activities.

The role involves topside vessels, piping and valves, and coordination with engineering contractors in a multicultural project environment. Responsibilities include design review, technical comment processing, and ensuring alignment with project specs and codes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
• PVV Engineer with offshore/petroleum or offshore experience.
• Experience from detailed engineering through construction phases.

Responsabilités

• Support static engineering activities across the project lifecycle under the Lead Static Engineer.
• Review detailed design deliverables and comment within deadlines.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to support 3D model development and interface management.
• Attend technical meetings, review progress, and provide guidance on vessel-related scope.

Job Title: FPSO Static Engineer

Duration: 12 months

This opportunity sits within a major offshore oil and gas FPSO development and focuses on static engineering across detailed design, construction, and package follow-up activities. The role offers exposure to topside vessels, piping and valves, engineering contractor coordination, and international project delivery in a multicultural environment. This position will support technical quality, design compliance, and interface management across a complex ultra-deepwater FPSO project.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the authority of the Lead Static Engineer and support static engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
• Review detailed design deliverables and provide comments within required timeframes, explaining technical feedback and following implementation through to closure.
• Support engineering oversight for static equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and valves associated mainly with topside scope.
• Ensure design and construction activities align with the statement of requirements, basic engineering, project specifications, procedures, and applicable international codes.
• Respond to technical queries related to static engineering and propose technically sound solutions.
• Liaise with other disciplines, including instrumentation and safety, to support effective technical coordination and balanced design decisions.
• Assist with package interfaces in coordination with relevant project stakeholders where static engineering input is required.
• Maintain regular communication with contractor counterparts and participate in technical meetings to review progress, clarify comments, and provide guidance.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, instrument, and electrical disciplines to support complete and accurate 3D model development.
• Provide regular feedback to the headquarters technical team and incorporate lessons learned from previous projects into current engineering activities.
• Ensure design modifications are properly tracked and implemented by the engineering and procurement contractor.
• Monitor contractor performance within the discipline and follow up engineering document reviews related to vessels.
• Witness or participate in inspections, receptions, and factory acceptance testing where required.
• Verify critical vessels at vendor premises before or during factory acceptance testing.
• Support, supervise, or coordinate vessel-related matters arising in other packages where applicable.
• Ensure adequate as-built drawings are delivered by the contractor at package factory acceptance testing stage.
• Participate in construction follow-up activities and report discipline-related anomalies observed on site, including proposed remedial actions.
• Promote compliance with safety instructions, company HSE expectations, and code of ethics requirements in all activities.

Required Education & Certifications

• Degree qualification in relevant discipline

Required Experience

• Solid experience as a PVV Engineer in the petroleum and gas or offshore industry
• Experience covering detailed engineering through to construction phase activities
• Experience with pressure vessels and heat exchangers

Required Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of static equipment, vessels, piping, and valves
• Ability to review engineering documents and manage technical comments in a timely and effective manner
• Knowledge of project specifications, engineering procedures, and international codes applicable to design and construction
• Ability to work across interfaces with multiple engineering disciplines
• English fluency
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Proactive approach, strong anticipation, and rigorous attention to detail
