Job summary

Eutelsat is seeking an experienced Flight Dynamics Lead Engineer for the IRIS2 programme at the Ground Control Centre in Toulouse. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive orbit determination, STM and mission analysis, and oversee ground infrastructure readiness prior to operations.

Based in Toulouse, you will coordinate across EU sites, manage training campaigns, and ensure seamless transition from development to active operations, including collision avoidance and space traffic management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace engineering, Physics, or Mathematics with orbital dynamics specialization.
• 10+ years hands-on experience in flight dynamics software and operations.
• Experience leading technical teams in space operations.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• EU nationality and eligibility for EU security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support Operational Reviews and milestones for readiness to enter operations.
• Oversee operability of ground infrastructure (S3C, TT&C, etc.) and assist in procurement evaluations.
• Configure flight dynamics tools and prepare training and operations qualification campaigns.
• Provide leadership to a team of Flight Dynamics engineers and allocate tasks.
• Coordinate anomaly resolution with other ground elements and suppliers.
• Propose improvements to flight dynamics operations and systems to maximize availability.
• Oversee orbit determination and space traffic management, including manoeuvre planning.
• Define and validate mission strategy and orbit profiles from launch to deorbiting.
