Airbus Defence and Space SAS in Toulouse, France, seeks a Human Factors Engineering and Flight Deck Specialist. The role focuses on applying human factors to design user-centered cockpits, flight decks, and workstations, ensuring effective HMI engineering across lifecycle stages.

Responsibilities include ergonomics, cognitive workload and human error analysis, prototyping, and V&V with an emphasis on defining geometry, layout and interaction means for mission consoles and ground control stations.

Responsabilités

• Workstations design (cockpits, flight decks, mission consoles and ground control stations), including geometry, layout and furnishing.
• HMI design and multimodal interaction: control units, indicators, displays and moding (graphical user interface) and interaction means.
• End-to-end HFE process application along the systems life cycle from early analysis during concept definitions up to entry into service.
• Mission analysis, task analysis, ergonomic analysis, workload analysis and human error analysis.
• HMI prototyping, both hardware and software, including virtual models/simulations and physical mock-ups.
• Human Factors V&V: user-centered design reviews, demonstrations, validation and testing.
• Human Factors qualification and certification.
