Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse is seeking a Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Responsible to join our team on a new airframe program. You will drive design for mechanical system parts and assemblies, lead collaboration with other engineering offices, and support the complete lifecycle of the aircraft in an end-to-end process.

The role requires Aeronautical Engineering knowledge, CATIA V5 experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with CATIA and common office tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, proactive mindset.
• Ability to take design delegation.
• Motivated, proactive, team player.
• Languages: English; Spanish and French are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical system parts, assemblies and interfaces using CATIA V5 and modern design processes.
• Establish design principles, interfaces, materials and manufacturing considerations with stakeholders.
• Support the complete aircraft lifecycle in an end-to-end design process using modern software.
• Coordinate with other engineering offices (stress, loads, installation, structures, etc.).

Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Responsible to join our team based in Toulouse, France. As part of an exciting and challenging new upcoming military program inside the Military Derivatives department of Air Power, we are building a brand-new team. To achieve this, we are currently looking for an Airframe for Mechanical System Integration and Design Engineer.

Your Challenges

• Concept, Definition and Development of design for Mechanical System parts, assemblies, installations and design solutions for A/C Derivatives programmes with modern design process, methods and tools. Catia V5, CSG Full3D, but not limited to the basic tools you will use in context with other stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Establishment of the Design principles, Key Characteristics Design, Interface, Frontiers, Interface Points, Materials and Manufacturing processes detailed definition. Active participation on the Collaborative and concurrence process with Industrial and Production part with a customer-oriented view through Airbus Defence & space services up to the final customer.
• Supporting the complete product lifecycle of an aircraft in a E2E Design Process using additional modern software or applications.
• Strong working ties to other Engineering Design offices (e.g., stress, analysis, loads,, systems installation, armament, material & processes, aerodynamic, configuration design, ESI, Structure design, DMU/CAD,...)

Your Profile: Abilities, skills and competencies

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in CATIA, as well as the usual back office tools (Office...).
• Good communication skills, collaboration, proactivity and team play working spirit.
• Abilities to accept Design delegation.
• Motivated, proactive and team dynamic player.
• Committed in their own development to learn new skills.
• Languages: Good English level - Spanish and French languages would be plus.
