Job summary

Orakl Oncology is hiring its first automation lead to build the Automation function from scratch. You will map processes, decide what to automate, source equipment, and hire the team to execute the roadmap.

You will work with cell culture, biology and data science teams to generate large biological data sets powering discovery in cancer, with fast decisions and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 8+ years in automation or manufacturing.
• Strong process mapping and bottleneck analysis skills.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing budgets.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Map cell culture workflows end to end and identify automation opportunities.
• Own the automation roadmap and present it to leadership.
• Evaluate vendors and integrators; write specs and acceptance criteria.
• Negotiate terms (price, scope, delivery, support) autonomously.
• Lead design reviews and factory/site acceptance tests.
• Translate protocols into automated machine execution with teams.
• Track availability, interventions, and recovery time to guide next steps.
• Hire and develop automation technicians and engineers.
• Set documentation, quality control, safety, and change control standards.
