Aerospacelab in Toulouse, France, is seeking a Finance Controller to partner with project managers and department heads, monitoring performance, risks, and opportunities. You will be curious, pragmatic, accurate, and proactive, driving concrete improvements across the finance function.

The role requires a master’s in finance, 5+ years in financial controlling within industrial or deep-tech settings, IFRS expertise, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance or equivalent.
• At least 5 years in financial controlling in industrial/manufacturing or deep-tech environments.
• Solid IFRS knowledge and advanced Excel skills with hands-on Odoo ERP experience.
• Power BI experience; AI familiarity is a plus.
• Rigorous, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and proactive attitude.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Own the monthly close: revenue recognition, project profitability, inventory, capitalized production, and headcount cost allocation.
• Monitor cash flow and flag financing needs.
• Build and maintain financial dashboards, analyze variances, run scenario analyses, communicate findings to leadership.
• Deliver timely monthly reporting and financial presentations for CFO and Executive Committee.
• Lead annual budgeting and maintain rolling monthly forecasts.
• Support internal and external audit activities and ensure audit-readiness.
• Lead Finance team's AI initiatives to streamline reporting and forecasting.

Your mission

Reporting to the Head of Finance and working alongside a Senior Controller in a growing team, you will act as a trusted business partner to project managers and department heads — monitoring financial performance, risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close: revenue recognition (POC / IFRS 15), project profitability analysis, inventory valuation, capitalized production (IAS 38) and headcount cost allocation
• Monitor the cash flow plan and proactively flag financing needs
• Build and maintain financial dashboards, analyse variances between actuals, budget and forecast, run scenario analyses and communicate findings clearly to leadership
• Deliver timely monthly reporting and crisp financial presentations for the CFO and Executive Committee
• Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain a rolling forecast updated monthly to enable tight cash management
• Support internal and external audit activities and ensure audit-readiness at all times
• Lead the Finance team's AI initiatives — exploring, testing and deploying AI-powered tools to streamline reporting, forecasting and financial analysis

Must have

We are looking for someone who brings:

• A master’s degree in finance
• 5 years of experience in financial controlling in an industrial, manufacturing or deep-tech environment; prior experience in space, defence or aerospace is a strong asset
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, advanced Excel skills and hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP; Power BI experience, AI is a plus
• Rigorous and detail-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills and a can‑do attitude
• Collaborative team player who communicates financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
• Fluency in French and English, written and spoken
• An open, pragmatic and dynamic mindset
• The autonomy to take ownership and the appetite for responsibility
• The ability to build relationships easily across all levels of the organisation
