SoTalent in France is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the financial management, accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and performance monitoring of a manufacturing site. Reporting to Site Director and Group Finance, this role partners with operational leaders to support strategic decision-making and governance.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise, leadership, analytical rigor, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive profitability and operating efficiency

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Audit, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in finance leadership within industrial/manufacturing environments is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsabilités

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with group standards.
  • Provide actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and medium-term financial planning; prepare reporting packages for management.
  • Partner with leaders to identify cost optimization and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors; ensure compliance with regulations.

Are you passionate about driving financial performance, leading accounting and controlling activities, and partnering with operational leaders to support business growth in an international industrial environment?

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial management, accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and performance monitoring of a manufacturing site. Reporting directly to the Site Director and functionally to the Group Finance organization, this role serves as a key business partner supporting strategic decision-making, operational excellence, and financial governance.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise, leadership capabilities, analytical rigor, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive business performance and ensure financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Performance Management
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with group standards.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide clear explanations of business results.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and medium-term financial plans.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reporting packages for group management and key stakeholders.
  • Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for cost optimization and performance improvement.
Financial Control & Business Support
  • Act as a trusted business partner to operational managers and department heads.
  • Monitor key financial indicators and support profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate operational performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Support investment decisions through financial analysis and CAPEX evaluations.
  • Ensure sound financial governance and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
  • Manage working capital performance, including receivables, payables, and inventory-related financial metrics.
  • Monitor cash flow forecasts and support liquidity management activities.
  • Optimize cash utilization while supporting business growth objectives.
  • Analyze financial risks and opportunities related to working capital and capital investment decisions.
  • Oversee general accounting and accounts payable activities.
  • Ensure accurate management of:
  • Fixed Assets
  • VAT and Tax Filings
  • Expense Reports
  • Statutory Accounting Requirements
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations, tax obligations, and corporate reporting standards.
  • Coordinate audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support documentation required for financial reviews and regulatory inspections.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage tax reporting and declarations in accordance with local and international regulations.
  • Support transfer pricing compliance and financial governance requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on financial processes and controls.
ERP, Systems & Process Improvement
  • Ensure reliability and integrity of financial and management data within ERP systems.
  • Support ERP optimization and enhancement projects.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, including automation, paperless processes, and electronic invoicing solutions.
  • Improve financial processes, controls, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, develop, and support a small finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Coach team members and contribute to their professional development.
  • Ensure effective workload management and resource allocation.
  • Promote high standards of financial accuracy, compliance, and customer service.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with operational, supply chain, commercial, HR, and corporate finance teams.
  • Participate in strategic and operational projects aimed at improving site performance.
  • Support group-wide finance initiatives and organizational transformation programs.
  • Maintain strong communication with both local management and corporate finance leadership.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in:
