Job summary

TransPerfect in Paris seeks an Accounting and Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end closes, and statutory filings. You will ensure FR GAAP & US GAAP alignment, manage VAT and payroll tax knowledge, and collaborate with AP/AR shared services.

You will lead a small team, drive process improvements, liaise with auditors, and provide financial insight to local management on projects in tax and finance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or similar in the Accounting and Finance areas.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a responsibility role in a modern structured and international company.
• Proactive approach, organizational capacity, problem solving, confidentiality, ability to work in a team and leadership experience.
• Good knowledge of French tax legislation and general accounting of financial statements in FR GAAP.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
• Good knowledge of Great Plains.
• Strong knowledge of Office package and in particular Excel at an advanced level.
• Inclusive working style and effective communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise monthly closure and reconciliations and ensure accounting transactions are performed correctly on time.
• Preparation and closing of the statutory financial statements and group packages in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP and in collaboration with tax consultants and auditors
• Control of all VAT and corporate tax requirements
• Interaction with the shared service centre for accounting and administration issues
• Management, updating and optimizing of all administrative-financial processes and procedures in accordance with internal audits rules
