Job summary

TransPerfect Translations International in Paris seeks an Accounting and Finance Manager to lead daily accounting across local entities, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, and overseeing VAT, payroll tax and local filings in FR GAAP and US GAAP contexts.

You will collaborate with Shared Services, auditors and tax consultants, improve processes and controls, and lead a small finance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or similar in Accounting and Finance
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a responsibility role in a modern structured and international company
• Proactive approach, organizational capacity, problem solving, confidentiality, ability to work in a team and leadership experience
• Good knowledge of French tax legislation and general accounting of financial statements in FR GAAP
• Fluent in written and spoken English and French
• Good knowledge of Great Plains beneficial
• Strong knowledge of Office package and in particular Excel at an advanced level
• Inclusive working style and effective communication skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Supervise monthly closure and reconciliations and ensure accounting transactions are performed correctly on time
• Preparation and closing of the statutory financial statements and group packages in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP and in collaboration with tax consultants and auditors

• Interaction with the shared service centre for accounting and administration issues
• Management, updating and optimizing of all administrative-financial processes and procedures in accordance with internal audits rules

Job description

As an Accounting and Finance Manager you will be responsible for tracking, monitoring and evaluating day-to-day accounting tasks and activities.

Main Goals

• Ensure that financial results for local legal entities are accurate. Oversee and be responsible for the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, all statutory fillings and local tax matters, support the transfer pricing document preparation in cooperation with tax consultant. P&L and Balance sheet are also in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure that all reconciliations (done by shared service centres) are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.

• Detailed knowledge of calculations and filings for French VAT and payroll tax / social deductions

• Positive attitude, inclusive working style and effective communication skills are essential.

• The role will require a strong connection with AP and AR Shared Services Centres to ensure smooth operations between the country and the shared service centres.

• Provide assistance to local Management on local projects within the finance/tax area in different.

• Liaises with internal and external auditors and subject matter experts on accounting, reporting and tax issues
