Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer) to install, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor equipment at customer sites in a dynamic, global environment.

You will lead customer interactions, coordinate with installation teams, and support tool deployment while collaborating with the US Business Unit to address complex diagnostics and ensure high service quality. Travel ~20% is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Master or Engineering school; 3–4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong computer knowledge and Office suite proficiency for diagnostics and reporting.
• Ability to interact with international technical support in English (oral & written).
• Willingness to travel and work in customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Customer relationship: daily meetings with the customer to define priorities.
• Technical preparation of new tools arrival.
• Troubleshooting on the equipment and escalation when needed (US BU coordination).
• In charge of spare parts management.
• Coordination of the equipment installation: planning, supervision of teams, on-time completion.
• Reporting: intervention reports and installation milestones tracked.
• Continuous improvement and collaboration with Quality teams.
• Regular skill improvement on Applied Materials technologies.
