## Fiber R&D Measurement Engineer (M/F)Apply: Douvrin: Full time: Posted Today: R-36309Join the international teams of Prysmian's R&D Optical Fiber Business Unit. Participate in the design and measurement of new products in the largest European optical fiber plant, located in Douvrin (62), France.**Description**Reporting to the Fiber Product R&D Manager, you will be responsible for developing new measurement techniques, particularly for multi-core and PANDA fibers, and for supporting the development of next-generation optical fibers and manufacturing processes.**Job**In a multicultural and multisite context, you will:* define, develop and qualify new measurements strategies for new products,* develop new analytical tools or use existing ones to support measurements developments,* model the propagation characteristics of the fibers and their impacts on their performance for their specific applications,* collaborate with other modeling and process experts,* define new items to be incorporated into the optical fiber development roadmap,* provide technical support to Process Control and Operations teams for the resolution of specific problems, and to Sales and Quality teams in their discussions with customers and on issues related to standardization,* propose publications in scientific journals or conferences,* participate in technology watch activities (publications, patents, products).**Safety**It is our highest priority.
