AWE is seeking a Facility Coordinator to support the safe, compliant and effective performance of our facilities across a regulated estate. Based in Dijon, France, the role anchors UK and French activities, with flexibility for working pattern requests and a starting salary of £30,860.

British citizenship and 5-year UK residency are required for security clearance; French language skills to A2 level are also needed.

Qualifications

  • IOSH or NEBOSH is an advantage, but not essential (training can be sponsored in the role).
  • Prior facility, health and safety experience is an advantage, but not essential (training provided).
  • High integrity with handling confidential matters professionally.
  • Decisive under pressure with the confidence to challenge when needed.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsabilités

  • Be the non-technical focal point for all UK and joint French work activities and manage access control to facilities.
  • Support the Plan de Prevention's (PDP's) application with signed-off stakeholders.
  • Assist authorised isolations of alarms, sensors, or systems and ensure proper recording and notification.
  • De-conflict activities between both nations.

Location: Dijon, France

Salary: Starting salary £30,860 (Negotiable dependent on relevant experience / qualifications)

We are seeking a Facility Coordinator to support the safe, compliant and effective performance of our facilities across a highly regulated estate. This is a role that places you at the heart of our operations - ensuring our workplaces are secure, efficient and ready to meet the needs of our programme while developing skills and experience that can launch a rewarding long-term career.

What you'll do

In this key role, you'll support our UK Facility Management team requirements, ensuring our operations and buildings run smoothly every day. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To be the non-technical focal point for all UK and joint French work activities and to manage access control to facilities.
  • Supporting the Plan de Prevention's (PDP's) application, ensuring relevant stakeholders have signed on to these.
  • To support authorised isolations of alarms, sensors, or systems (required to allow safe and approved operations) and that this information is recorded correctly and all necessary parties informed.
  • De-conflict activities between both nations.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • IOSH or NEBOSH is an advantage, but not essential (as this training can be sponsored in the role).

  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to handle confidential and otherwise sensitive matters professionally.
  • Ability to be decisive under pressure with the confidence to challenge and push back if required.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Prior experience within customer service and administration.

You’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Important things you need to know:
  • You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
  • You will be expected to have or attain French language skills to communicate, both written and oral, to an A2 Level standard as a minimum - training will be provided.
  • Our interviews typically take place over Teams and for most roles are a 1 stage process.
